Billy Phelps I am thinking about building a 3.625 stroke 4.125 bore engine (388). I run an IMCA mod with a 377, looking for a bit more grunt but still a flat tourqe curve like the 377. Have you guys built any of these? reliable? Also I am currently spinning the 377 7800-8000, will the 388 like the r's with the same top end combo?
Thanks

Billy, we build plenty of these combo's, They are really popular in the USMTS cars.
Very good for high RPM, 3.625, 6.125 rods, 1.0063 C/H pistons, good combo. I would recommend an aftermarket block as well.
